Clinical psychologist Breus (The Sleep Doctor's Diet Plan; Beauty Sleep) appears frequently on the Dr. Oz show and writes for the Huffington Post. Using a "Bio-Time quiz," the author's latest divides people into groups of animals: dolphins, lions, bears and wolves. Chapters cover the best timing for activities, including relationships (falling in love, sex, communicating with family and friends), fitness (running, team sports, yoga), health (flu shots, mammograms, bathing, weighing, bathroom activities), sleep (waking up, napping, going to bed, sleeping in), eating and drinking, work (asking for a raise, commuting, emailing, making decisions), creativity (brainstorming, playing music, writing), money (buying, selling, getting rich), and fun (binge-watching TV, logging on, game playing, reading, telling jokes, and travel). Much of his advice is sensible and predictable: reduce alcohol and caffeine consumption; eat protein for breakfast; limit exercise before bedtime and screen time in general; keep a consistent schedule. Chronobiology and sleep are hot topics, and obesity has been linked to sleep deprivation. VERDICT Demand for this title may be driven by media attention. Recommended for readers with an interest in self-help titles.--Mary Chitty, Cambridge Healthtech, Needham, MA
