Gr 1-3-Clearly and simply, each title describes how a sweater or a crayon is made, beginning with how sheep are raised and how wax is manufactured. Each one opens with a concise table of contents with titles of chapters in bold print and has large print and vivid full-page color photos. Color photos and simple text characterize the books in this series designed for beginning readers. Children interested in these topics will find the illustrations helpful, but those seeking detailed information will need to look elsewhere. Glos., ind.
